A rambunctious Aries Moon starts the week off, keeping us assertive, aware and independent. There’s very little that can get past us right now, but I’m not sure just how beneficial that may be. The Moon’s position harmonises well with the numerous planets in Aquarius; Venus, Mercury, Saturn + Jupiter. Naturally, as we’ve all come to know - social pursuits and group undertakings are really main themes of Aquarius, and even in this tumultuous retrograde (that so many people have written to me about) we can engage in encouraging moments of friendship, enlightenment and spiritual transformation. Aries is intuitive, even if it comes in waves of jealous rage - we know what we know, and we can’t help but feel how we feel. There’s a lot of this feeling presiding over the moment we find ourselves in - it can be hard to explain, but for a lot of us right now, there’s just so much going on in our minds / hearts. Nothing is predictable, revolutionary Uranus and Mars in Taurus make sure of that! The likelihood of rapid changes and new opportunities normally expected in any new year are furthered, greatly, by the fact that 2021 is a 5 year in Numerology. Number 5 manifests by way of change, chance, choice, variety, sudden, unusual shifts and physical movements.
This week, on the 17th, we have Saturn making a tense square to Uranus, the first of three transits that will play out between now, June and December. There will be bouts of inner tension, relationships can feel awkward. Even business partnerships / ideals can feel as if they’re veering into restrictive territory - and what’s important about this square is that the themes that develop over the course of the next week, will be a big part of your life throughout 2021. Saturn is dominant and naturally repressive, Uranus requires a little more breathing room - together they can cause friction in our personal psyche over those fundamental needs. Discord is likely, as are growing pains - resistance will show you where you need to delve into divine work. As always. On the 19th, Pisces season begins - this mutable, fishy sign is always associated with wisdom, emotion and sensitivity - but it’s also so much more. Pisces season can be a time of great clarity, intuition, inner knowing. Like I mentioned above, the themes associated with this week of 'just knowing', before hearing or seeing (in essence before it appears as tangible in life), are further perpetuated by the ethereal nature of the wise Pisces. Until March 20th, we can tap into our feelings - and because Pisces most often times is a loud mouth, we will be sure to express them now too. Something comes to a culmination in the stormy water of Pisces season, and it’s going to be unique, poignant even. We’re about to embrace moments of ups, downs, daily accommodations, heartaches and pains - even when we’re on our ‘true’ path. Mercury retrograde is drawing to a close (almost), officially finishing on the 21st, but really, extending to March 9th, as it moves into it’s post shadow phase. We can breathe easier from early March, as the next retrograde won’t occur till June.
Let me leave you with that - and this part of a poem I adore.
A Psalm of life;
"Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each tomorrow
Find us farther than today.
Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.”
~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
May your cup runneth over..
With love,
Srna
Aries: March 21 - April 19
You’re moving forward in life, Aries. The Moon in your sign today creates an upbeat, busy feel - one where you feel comfortable in breaking the rules. Chiron in your sign also keeps ideas flowing, friends committed and an excitement in regards to creative projects, or business efforts. Uranus in Taurus, in your budget/finance sector can grow you on a large scale, but you could feel trapped by an old pattern. Mercury’s alignment to Jupiter is an excellent moment to do something you wouldn't normally do, in order to turn your financial destiny around. Getting on top of your cash flow will be imperative in regards to future opportunities, especially around the date of the Virgo Full Moon (26th, 27th). While so many planets inhabit Aquarius, you could feel passion toward a lover or more notably, an ex - personal connections are emerging now, so be cautious if you do get a tug on the heart strings from an old flame. What’s coming is better than what’s gone.
Taurus: April 20 - May 20
The week ahead has a hypnotising affect on you, Taurus. It begins with the Aries Moon in your 12th house seeking privacy, rest and emotional fulfilment. Somewhere deep in your heart, there is a matter left unresolved and it’s pulling you apart. Personal conviction therefore, is rather important, but harder to come by with so many things swirling around your head. Uranus in your sign until 2026, which I have touched on majorly for the last two years means everything will remain unpredictable - so keep the options open. Apart from all of this, money, business and career is front and centre currently, especially around the 17th when Saturn squares intensely to Uranus. Things may go backward now, and there is an air of competitiveness. Lean into the future, not away from it.
Gemini: May 21 - June 20
A conversation with a friend gives you some much needed intel, Gemini. Although you find yourself in a very ‘what if’ scenario, it’s evident to everyone else that you’re exactly where you need to be. There can be a sense of waiting this week, for a contract, a lover, news or just some sort of conflict resolution. It is what it is. With 4 planets, including your ruler, in sister-sign Aquarius, you feel encouraged and strong within your independence. A relationship continues to grow and prosper, guiding you to refine self-love techniques. When you’re happy, everyone around you feels the best of you. Something that began mid-January, but lacked follow through may have a real opportunity to progress properly around the date of the Saturn-Uranus square on the 17th.
Cancer: June 21 - July 22
This week, you intuitively know what someone else is holding back from you, Cancer. On a bigger scale however, you also know the pieces are coming together - so there’s no point in being inflexible. Neptune and Ceres in sister-sign Pisces apply some imagination to travel, international connections and foreign friendships. It may just be that the person who gets you most right now, is far, far away. The Aries Moon tonight sits at the top of your solar chart, and makes you particularly in tune to business matters. A sense of responsibility keeps you orientated toward certain duties, so that your reputation doesn’t take any more tumbles. If you feel inexperienced for the opportunity that you’re given through work, take it anyway! You can do it.
Leo: July 23 - August 22
There happens to be two different, main themes residing in your head for now, Leo. As always, love takes top preference. With money and the acquisition of it, a close second. Uranus in Taurus is all about progress through achievement, yet nothing in your career has been predictable or easy. This week then is key for experimentation, going somewhere you haven’t been before. The same can be said in terms of relationship, as Mercury and Jupiter partner up in your house of romance. A former partnership can cause a moment of reflection and some unexpected nostalgia, regardless of being swept away by deep emotion - you know it’s almost time to try something new. In this retrograde, it’s best to side step any confrontation, at least for two more weeks.
Virgo: August 23 - September 22
Boundaries erected now can be a blessing, Virgo. Since the year began you’ve thought seriously about putting down roots, building on your current foundations and what personal security means for you. February has really emphasised the notion to do the ‘right’ thing - even with your ruler, Mercury, in dense Aquarius retrograde motion. The Aries Moon tonight keeps you resourceful, and keen to reach out and connect with others. Most relationships are very beneficial now, but be weary, as emotions overflow to the top very easily. The Uranus-Saturn square on the 17th can feel radical or like you need space. If your position is disturbed somehow, know that it’s impossible to hang onto the way things were forever. Big breakthroughs come from a potential glimmer of hope.
Libra: September 23 - October 22
At times, when you feel uncertain about the road ahead, you know to lean on those around you, Libra. So, why does it appear different this week? Because you are putting unrealistic expectations on yourself! The Aries Moon identifies a valid vulnerability, especially since it’s in your house of partnership. If someone is unwilling to meet you halfway, maybe this isn’t such a healthy union after all. Neptune and Ceres in Pisces keep your emotions conflicted, but the heart knows! The Saturn-Uranus square on the 17th, the first of three this year, will make the blocks that appear before you feel rather personal. Uranus and Saturn can make everything rather consequential, but this transit also provides you with many openings, if you can see past what you’re given. The 5th and 8th houses are so accentuated this month, entwining your need for passion with growth.
Scorpio: October 23 - November 21
Let go of the destination, Scorpio. Only then can you effortlessly get to where you’re meant to go. The Aries Moon tonight in your 6th house can feel dramatic, as if some new rules need to be laid out. The plethora of Aquarius planets can also feel like a headache, but really, it’s a strong moment in time for love, intimacy and family connection. Aquarius rules social groups, community and the need for partaking in something ‘larger than yourself’. This is why over the course of the next two weeks, you will strive to strengthen the friendships and partnerships around you. As the Sun turns over to Pisces on the 19th, with Neptune and Ceres here too, you’re reminded that security comes from your most personal relations. Everything is electrifying, albeit a bit frightening - just know that once retrograde finishes, you’ll have a renewed sense of optimism.
Sagittarius: November 22 - December 21
The Aries Moon keeps you playful early this week, Sagittarius. But the ongoing pattern of the South Node in your 1st house can feel like a heavy cross to bear. How you ‘appear’ in the world is a hot topic, as is your image, reputation and branding. At this highly personal moment in time, everything may feel like an experience, one that’s happening outside of yourself, but nevertheless, very much to you. If things appear coded or conflicting, especially within family or love, know that the Mercury retrograde still is playing it’s part. On the 17th, Uranus in Taurus makes a very uncomfortable square to Saturn. This is the first of three clashes that occur this year, and on a personal level will represent a very strong struggle between traditionalism and ‘new age’ thinking. Saturn is highly functional in Aquarius, but it’s very evident that there will be issues to do with economy, finance and career progression here. The best you can do, is not to sweat the small stuff.
Capricorn: December 22 - January 19
The evolution of your spirit continues to grow by leaps and bounds, Capricorn. This week, the energies are mostly supportive, even with a pesky Uranus-Saturn square on the 17th. You find comfort in being close to home, and the Aries Moon confirms that, by placing itself in your 4th house of family. You’re heading in a new and exciting direction with the one you love, and even when you can’t express (gratitude) verbally, something about you just radiates it. Pluto in your sign proves to be rather intriguing, because instead of just rolling with the punches, you’d rather clash with authority and speak up about what you really want. Unless of course, you’re the authority, and in most cases you always are. Then maybe it’s about reconstructing traditions or placing power where true substance lives.
Aquarius: January 20 - February 18
It can be hard to keep your feet on the ground, Aquarius. With Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury and Venus in your sign, anything feels possible, especially in the realm of image, personal appearance, the reputation that precedes you. The Aries Moon starts the week off in your 3rd house of communications, helping you get a better grasp on expressing yourself! In your heart of hearts, there is an innovator waiting to break free, for their moment in the spotlight. Now is as good a time as any, even with Mercury retrograde still affecting you well into early March. Your subject matter is almost always people, but right now a certain individual has captured your attention. On the 17th, an awkward Saturn-Uranus square disturbs your peace, and it’s only the first of 3 very uncomfortable transits. So, best to get comfortable with what plays out, as it will be evident well into the year.
Pisces: February 19 - March 20
Confidence in those around you builds, Pisces. As you seek out the familiar and find great pleasure in connecting with individuals that honour your spirit. In fact, even the Moon in Aries and your 2nd house doesn’t dampen the mood, although it’s evident your finances aren’t where they’re supposed to be. It’s time to pull up your socks, and get in control with those feelings that stem from 'there's not enough for me’. Security, possessions and stability seem to hold more weight than they used too, perhaps you’re just maturing and ready to put down some roots. Birthday season has you mesmerised, when the Sun enters your sign on the 19th. Joined by Neptune and Ceres, everything shifts to your 1st house of image and name - you will come to some blessed situations, as long as you keep your pessimism to the side. The Uranus-Saturn square on the 17th, in your 3rd house of communication can get a little hairy, make sure you’ve got your wits about you.
