July is most definitely soul stirring.
A new month, a specific agenda. July narrates that we cannot skip any part - the story begins and ends exactly how it’s supposed to. The matrix connects us all - rules, regulations, the process in which we remain responsible for the one and only thing we have any autonomy over - ourselves. In these troubling times I am wondering a lot about the longevity of life - the cyclical nature by which we live - the governments that rule over its people and the obedient - good natured human, who takes on those rules and aims to please. Respect must be practiced - for all human life; yet seldom is so. This month can define our wellbeing for many years to come; we are attuned to the opportunities that are erupting on our scene and can expect sudden, diverse change which destroys delusions. We are letting go of the surface ‘image’ and accepting - perhaps even accentuating that which is real - that which is awkward and messy, bumpy and bruised. The cosmic energies are looking deeply within, cultivating a strong sense of self so that no one or nothing can shake it.
It begins early, as Mars in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn on the 1st. Making for a very conflicting day, large abrupt energies are swallowing people whole in this first week, pushing us to engage and rage. Pluto draws us under so whatever has been boiling deep now must be discussed - there is no more hiding behind the exterior, Aries makes sure it pinches at Pluto in a very fiery way. This month, we can feel under ‘attack’ - emotionally exposed - life can feel stormy - but predictable in its nature. It’s almost as if we’ve been expecting it. Has it arrived because we have manifested it? Or did we comprehend something before it materialised in our physical realities? The old adage ‘to see is to believe’ isn’t always correct, and the more we can understand the fundamental flaws in our perceptions, the more we can become ‘aware’.
July 2nd and 12th are special dates to mark in the calendar, as Mercury and Venus trine Saturn. Joyous, serendipitous events can occur - lean into your truth and let your freak flag fly! Be an individual - do your own thing, life is much more colourful that way. Mercury moves into Cancer on the 6th and Mars enters Taurus the same day. We are influenced by these alterations to our speech and can come across as a little more unhinged! On the 13th/14th (depending on timezone), we have a Full Moon (+Pluto) in Capricorn, opposing the Sun and Mercury in Cancer. This lunation is earthy and dependable, it is like coming home after a long day of wearing your ‘outside’ mask - to your safe space and just feeling so thankful to have a place where you can let it all out. Capricorn has been going through a massive period of adjustment, and this transit will serve as that final piece to the puzzle - where they continue to edit and minimise - leaving only the bare necessities needed. Taurus and Virgo will be boosted from their close interaction with Capricorn in this lunation, so will the compatible water signs, Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio. There is an element of competition here, Capricorn wants to win, it thrives on security and material stability. They serve and obey - they’re not much for rule breaking, unless it's to get money. So there may be a desire to get what we are owed or pay someone back if we owe them, in some way. As a collective, we may be feeling rather conservative in our speech, our spending, our outward input - we are aiming to regulate our nervous system most of all by not rocking the boat.
Venus joins the cardinal party, on the 17th, moving into Cancer, breaking down emotions and weaving new dreams into our timeline. If you’ve always fantasised about a lavish proposal, a wedding, a polyamorous relationship, a cozy home or far away travels, it’s quite possible that from now until August 18th it comes to fruition. Mercury is in opposition to Pluto on the 18th, highlighting a fundamental response you’ve cultivated due to some sort of trauma or pain. It could be something like never being the first one to connect with friends for dates and dinners, because you’ve been burnt in the past by a group/individual - or it may be oversharing and feeling guilty the next day for having such a desire to connect - even if the people were not worthy of your stories. Pluto doesn’t hold back here and the air can be filled with much emotional volatility. The Sun is in expressive and generous Leo on the 22nd, meeting Mercury here which switches signs on the 19th. Leo is dedicated, strongly attuned to their attachments and desire for other people. Leo is interested in our foundations - who made our heart so strong? Do our values link in with our self-worth? Intuition is strong and we feel in the flow with universal energies, the transit gives us a new lease on life. Roll with it. On the 28th, a feisty but liberating Leo New Moon shakes the paradigm of those who cling to falsehoods. The same day, Jupiter in Aries begins its retrograde dance. Peeling away our attachments leaves us - just with us - no procrastinations. We must turn our back on fear, on worry, on self-hatred - troubles of the psyche are real and prevalent — but they do not define us. Aries: March 21 - April 19
You are consumed by your desires, Aries. July is a little erratic in terms of your work life, and many of you could be on edge financially. There’s a lot to say, but it’s too soon to say it, Leo. July is a powerhouse month, and in a few short weeks, it is your time to bask in the sunshine of your solar return - enjoy every moment of the adventure that is approaching. I know some of you will be saying - About Time! And, yes - Sun Leo’s and Moon Leo’s have had a more perplexing time than your average Joe. It’s not one size fits all and you’re quietly learning that when it comes to partners or mates who seem stranger and more fun than the ‘usual’ crowd.
