DECEMBER MONTHLY HOROSCOPES

A good life takes practice. Every day we move through session after session experiencing a gamut of emotions, some are great - some are tiresome. December is wilful, designed to get us thinking about our purpose; there is a lot that ‘could be’ over the next 31 days - it truly depends on how much you’ve been practicing - investing - studying. Ultimately we become what we focus on, so ask yourself in these early, reflective days of the month - What are you determined to practice more of in 2023? Kindness, patience, intimacy, tennis, yoga, Italian?! The world is our oyster in Sagittarius Season, and no one embraces daydream and wander like the Archer does.

December is a slow and sluggish month, with the final Mercury retrograde occurring on the 30th, welcoming us into a new year with continued uncertainty. We are in the portal of processing our feelings of what we’ve overcome, what we’ve understood and what we’re still problem solving in our hearts and minds. 2022 was a challenging year, perhaps more disjointed than 2020/2021. Two years after the initial pandemic, coping with grim reality and after effects of lockout laws, vaccine mandates and the global economic inflation has made this a really rough terrain to navigate - it’s almost like we’re walking in an alien world. How many times have we heard the word ‘unprecedented’ when we’ve watched T.V, opened social media or listened to the radio?! The stark reality is that we are in a complex time and many are still bewildered by what it is that’s transpired in their own personal stories, let alone world wide.

2023 will be unique, transforming our world in many colourful ways. Venus will enter Aquarius on the 2nd of January, reminding us to dare in love. On February 16th, Pallas - the ancient goddess of wisdom stations direct, it's time to be bold. On the 22nd of March, Ceres enters retrograde in Virgo. One of the four major asteroids along with Juno, Vesta and Pallas  - this transit is turning our universal focus on health, nutrition and the natural world. Early 2023 will show us that there is a rhythm to every season - and we will go down the rabbit hole globally of womanhood, fertility, parenting - the theme of the ‘Matriarch’ is a notable and powerful one. I truly feel that we are moving, in a broader sense, to a social system where more women hold primary positions of power and authority. It’s a fresh, contemporary time and the imbalance of power between men and women is beginning to shift majorly. 2023 is all about a fully formed ‘integrated’ life - that will require a certain alchemy that rises from a woman - by women - with the help of her broader community. A mature, matriarch heart overcomes hidden blocks by giving and receiving more life. She is strengthened by her softness, it creates abundance - it is divinely curious!

Ram Das used to speak about ‘liquid love’ - a reality that any individual can live in unconditional love. Beginning to trust in the moments that surround you means you recognise you are being guided; events in your life are perfectly designed for your growth. The astrology of December confirms this, it is a patient, tolerant time - full of nuances - not for rushing and running around. On the 1st of the month, Mercury in Sagittarius makes a square to Neptune in Pisces, making it very hard to concentrate on any one thing. We stretch the truth, we embellish and we lose ourselves in little white lies. It sets the precedent for the week, so if you feel distorted in your thoughts, know that everyone else is feeling much the same. On the 3rd, Neptune stations direct in its home sign Pisces, wrapping us up in a blanket of love. It can be very hard to know which way is up and what is down - as Pisces muddles reality with its feverish fantasies. At the core of this transit however, we really get to have a good look at interpersonal relationships and the blurred boundaries they entail - intuition stems from simplicity and functions best in a healthy body/brain. Are you devoted to other people more than yourself? If so, how could you turn this love back onto yourself?

To use Pisces+Neptune power to the best of its ability, you will have to remain autonomous, checking into your own moral compass before seeing what everyone else is doing (or thinking). Neptune is fueled by the esoteric, by sensitivity and instability; this means that the people/situations that appear too sweet or tender right now may actually be wolves in sheep’s clothing. The motion of Pisces water isn’t as meek and feeble as novice Astrology would have you believe, so keep your wits about you because this transit comes to uncover and obliterate. On the 6th, Mercury enters Capricorn - where it will begin its final 2022 retrograde on the 30th. Beginning a new year with Mercury Rx in tow is definitely something of a hindrance but like with all things, life is what you make it. The optics are skewed early on and we can feel very slow to get into the rhythm of things once the clock strikes 12 on New Year’s Eve. One thing about this Saturn ruled sign, is that they often perceive things other people cannot. If you understand ‘too much’ it can be hard to fit into this world, and that is how Capricorn feels - and that is the immediate vibration felt at the start of this new year. Capricorn rules over our profession and property - mishaps and miscommunication will be likely, especially if you require a quality product! This earth sign also tends to be extremely scared of letting out their true emotions in front of people, preferring to stay guarded. Ending on the 19th of January, we are in a period of rethinking, realigning and reviewing. Many of us could be hiding our real feelings about something or someone - Mercury Rx does get a bad rep, but it’s important to embrace the exposure of negative emotions that come up during these 3 weeks, as they make us stronger for when we are in a true crisis.

On the 8th of December, an illuminating Gemini Full Moon sets fire to our communication skills, conversations and short term plans. ‘Rejoicing arises out of this moment’ - as Osho once said.

Gemini is a very future oriented sign, they live in the moment and require copious mental challenges and stimulation. This moon is not anything but dull, so go where your interests take you. The mutable energy is multiplied, as the Moon opposes the Saggi Sun updating our need for interaction and human connection. Mutable signs deal with duality and are often expressive with their needs and wants. We have a strong desire to integrate our lives with those around us, forming a group or duo - because we feel more comfortable and seen this way. Gemini is a bit of a paradox though, it swims both ways, being the sign of the Twins, so there is a need for freedom but also security which can cause a divide or seperation. Gemini loves to be devoted and doted on but it needs space to roam free, curious of the shifting identity a human moves through. This lunation is making a conjunction to Mars, which is retrograde in Gemini further diversifying what we expect when it comes to a relationship or friendship. As usual emotions are heightened but with Mars here, they take on a more explosive and heated quality - Gemini is quick to say anything to bring you right back down to reality. Neptune befuddles the day as it makes a tense square magnifying jealousies, resentments and past issues.

On the 9th, Venus enters Capricorn putting a serious spin on love. Our mind is on the long haul, the person(s) we really see a future with despite all the challenges we know will occur over time. This is a ‘cold stone sober’ time about commitment, and for those that are single or looking to take their flirtations further, if you now determine you want to be loyal - by all means, the stars are on your side. On the 16th, we have the last quarter moon phase in Virgo which makes the weekend a little more practical and somber than usual. We’re down to the nitty-gritty of something and we must restore balance to the situation at hand before moving on. On the 19th, a Scorpio Moon makes a sextile to Venus in Capricorn, colouring the days ahead with a special intensity. A culmination somewhere in your joinery can feel premature - but it’s not! It’s bang on time, trust the process and don’t let unnecessary feelings linger or be channeled into something more. On the 20th, Jupiter leaves Pisces for Aries, switching up the level of enthusiasm. Jupiter won’t be back in Pisces until 2033, and has a little while longer to go in Aries before it moves on next May 16th. Don’t let a particular role define you in the time of Jupiter in Aries, instead try out all hats on offer and see what suits you best. The moment is electric, full of life and light, focused on the (re)-beginning of a new cycle. Capricorn season is welcomed on the 21st, solidifying the ground which we walk upon. We can be drunk with authority, feeling a little unhinged as we boss everyone but ourselves around. This energy can take a moment to re-focus, so apply it wherever necessary - like a last minute push at work. A Super New Moon follows closely after on the 23rd, in the sign of the Goat. We are fit for research, financial analysis and business propositions. The central focus of this dark night is attached to karma, and we may be surprised or disenchanted by someone we once trusted. Harmonising with Jupiter and revelling in the potent Capricorn vibrations, we can make commitments and stick by them. We’re true to our word, geared toward discipline and aroused by the future. Cardinal signs will feel the synergy here, so Aries, Cancer +Libra and Capricorn, it's time to dream big. Mutable signs will also get a good go at getting some things straight in their lives, it's a very maturing cycle ~

The month ends with Mercury retrograde beginning and the first quarter moon in exuberant Aries on the 29th. We feel inspired, making up vision boards in our mind for what we want more off. There are so many doors to open, don’t be afraid of looking at what's behind. As Emerson once said “Finish the day and be done with it”. When December 31st rolls around, finish the year and be done with it - look ahead with bright eyes and a grateful heart. So many wonderful new opportunities will emerge, be excited for what is yet to appear. Approach the future with a smile and you’ll be off to a cracking start. There is magic everywhere, let it surround you just as the wind hugs the trees.

** Happy Holidays to all. I wish you health, happiness and deep abundance that comes from knowing what you want - let life love on you!!  I’ll be doing the same as I wait these next 10 weeks out before welcoming my second child. Thank you all once more for following along, I truly appreciate your company and feedback. See you next year - till then, take care out there.

May your cup runneth over in all possible ways on all types of days.

** HOROSCOPES LOADING OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS **

Sagittarius: November 22 - December 21

Your powerful presence is developing, Sagittarius. December is thick with mutable energy, guiding you to fulfil your destiny and step into your personal development. As the ‘seeker of truth’ in Astrology, it is your time to shine bright and set goals that come true and flourish in 2023. Let’s start at the beginning, the Sun in your sign traverses through your 1st house until it moves into Capricorn on the 21st. Giving you four weeks of optimal vitality, charm and glow - personal confidence is through the roof, as it should be! On the 7th, Mercury moves in unison with Pluto - the planet of rebirth, activating your 2nd house of finances. New skills, a variety of values and possibilities are apparent to you - as well as relationships with siblings and authoritative figures being magnified to show you where you give away power. Mars is retrograde all month in Gemini and your very romantic, very loved up 7th house. There is so much emotion in the air, you feel nostalgic in the moment for the past - as well as the present if things aren’t running smooth as they once did. Mars here however is impulsive and wildly influenced by other peoples wisdom or opinion. Naturally, you’re a very independent individual but Mars in the 7th makes you even more so, and a current partner may find you hard to mould (or manipulate). The positives of this transit come by hastily, leading you to go through motions of being enamoured with someone and then over it within a matter of days. Transforming aggression into passion is easy here, as everything is stimulating your desire for sensuality. On the 8th, a Gemini Full Moon merges with Mars in conjunction in this house of partners, representing a very important time in one to one relationships - marriages, business partnerships, parenting. Gemini is great at negotiating, and being your opposite sign - a mutable sign, it's apparent there will be much conversation around compromise. Who you surround yourself with has the power to propel you forward or hold you back, this is more apparent than ever now.

Venus joins the 2nd house  on the 10th, adding extra layers to your financial situation. Venus loves to be in the 2nd house, as it is the natural ruler, so you can expect good news when it comes to money and spending. You will be able to buy the lavish gifts for family and friends you hope too and you will also gain pleasure and enjoyment from being able to be so generous. Security in love is equally required if you are to feel comfortable and you won’t be afraid to ask for it. Neptune has stationed direct in Pisces, triggering some nostalgic thoughts of childhood. Christmas may be a significant turning point for a sibling relationship as you share what's in your heart and empathise with one another. Jupiter moves back into Aries on the 21st, where it will stay until May 2023. You can connect and empower people, especially in a broader community sense - where you go for activities, leisure or otherwise. The Sun leaves your sign, releasing you from the limelight on the 22nd, entering the steady and genuine Capricorn. This earthy end to the year presents itself in one way forward - one ultimate reality. Entering your 2nd house, your focus will be on the materialistic - on nesting - on making a house a home. A New Moon in Capricorn occurs on the 23rd, acting like a driving force for the next 4 weeks, pushing you to constantly seek better. The house of assets shows you what is yours truly, what you’re still left owing and what you need to sustain for a joyful lifestyle. To you money comes second to freedom, it has always been that way and it will always remain that way. Pulling all your resources together in order for you to get a longer break away, more time to adventure is paramount here - this is your core truth - your authentic nature. Mercury stations retrograde on the 30th, inviting all the common issues like simple communication being affected and flat out not hearing back from people when you need them urgently. Arguments over finances or shared cash can erupt over the next 3 weeks, dying down only in late January, when you’ve had space to clear your thoughts. Some things are beyond our control, don’t try to remain on top of everything as it will likely change, and instantaneously.

Dates to watch; 1st, 3rd, 10th, 17th, 21st, 23rd, 29th, 30th.

Capricorn: December 22 - January 19

You may feel a little uncertain of your place in the world this month, Capricorn. That’s part of the cycle you’re in currently with the Sun in Sagittarius traversing through your 12th house until the 21st. The month can feel heavy on you, with a plethora of planets in your sign pushing you to take stock internally - a psyche clean if you will! With Birthday season right around the corner, you can reflect deeply on what it is you’ve learnt, understood and felt this month. It’s a quiet, private time for you to just relax, even if only for a moment, and really express yourself through leisurely activities. Mercury and Pluto dance within your 1st house of self from the 6th, making your desires more prominent than anyone else’s. The 1st house is so very personal, it can address long standing issues you have with your face, body language and words. Pluto is the planet of rebirth and in many ways you could be magnetically drawing new faces toward you because of how greatly you’ve changed and matured in the last 12 months. You make strong first impressions now, you truly stand out through your cleverness, wit or humour. Pluto in the 1st can also be a little unstable in terms of ‘self-identity’ and you may push back against someone (a partner or parent) who tries to rein you in or control your schedule. All month, Mars retrogrades in Gemini and your 6th house of health, activating big feelings around the people you share your everyday life with. Merging with the Full Moon in Gemini on the 8th, this period can feel a little off kilter playing out in a myriad of unusual ways - most likely with the need to set yourself straight and stop eating bad, drinking lots of exercising too little. Gemini is active, child-like at the best of times, hiking your energy level and spiking the desire to get moving - both mentally and physically. Emotionally this lunation can feel jealous or aggressive, with Mars conjunct here, that’s perfectly normal. The 6th house reevaluates your work life balance and emphasises where you’ve been a little too laxed.

On the 10th, Venus moves into your sign defining your appearance, vulnerabilities and quirks. Presenting yourself in a clean and harmonious way is very important after this date, and you will try hard to make the little things around you feel/look beautiful. The significance of Venus in the 1st house is felt strongly, it's quite a novelty. A partner or lover may find you even more charming and attractive, in the public eye you prove to be very popular. All month, you’re thinking about personal cultivation, how to benefit yourself - not only to ‘appear’ but to actually ‘be’. You possess a natural and sought after strength, just allow yourself to settle into it. You already are all that you wish to be, truly. Jupiter moves back into Aries on the 21st, waving goodbye to its sweet Pisces cycle that dominated throughout the last year. In your 4th house until May 2023, you are in the process of a wonderful switch up in terms of family dynamics, home renovation and partner progression. Your intimate life as you know it is changing, for the better, giving you hope and enthusiasm as you head into 2023. Relationships are strengthened, children are welcomed into the fold, nesting is abundant - your most joyous moments will be felt where you reside and whom you reside by. That day is special too for other reasons, because it signifies birthday time beginning, your solar return. The Sun shines a light into your 1st how now that positively influences your days, asserting yourself calmly is easy and you’re able to laugh off minor squabbles with friends. This season of your life is purposeful, intentions will be paramount. Intuition may blend together the past, present and future in a very karmic way, leading you to bring together friends and family who are at odds. A New Moon in your sign arrives on the 23rd, highlighting this 1st house. You are inclined to speak up at this time making fair observations on the prospects you face in the home or socially. Relationships of all kinds are magnified because the New Moon acts like a ‘dark night’, assisting you to process how individual people make you feel when you’re amongst them. Many could be ready to submit to a lover, as you both probe one another’s level of commitment. However, please remember (as you are a bit of an emotional masochist) you can’t make anyone see a certain reality and you can’t ever do the work for someone, if they themselves don’t want to do the work. In the big scheme of things, life is far too grand to try and make anyone notice or validate your self-worth. Finally, Mercury retrograde rears its confusing head on the 30th, bringing in a new year and new age for you personally. Mercury will review paperwork, legal matters and pending collaborations, a change of heart is likely. Your behaviour will be scrutinised, someone has a microscope on your opinions, ideas and decision making. This too shall pass, don’t rush into anything you’re unsure about - chances are it will cause havoc later on.

Dates to watch; 1st, 6th, 8th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 30th.

Aquarius: January 20 - February 18

It’s time to distance yourself from unsafe relationships, Aquarius. It can feel daunting letting someone you’ve had in your life go, but the stars and the Sun are here, supporting you as they spotlight your 11th house of friendships, making you aware of those people who really stunt your growth. Until the 21st, you are moving through a very progressive phase where current ideas and decisions are based around future goals and dreams. The Sagittarius Sun in the 11th house is open minded, amused and enthusiastic, helping you to gain power or authority by letting the ‘under dog’ fly under your wing. A group or community endeavour may be motivating you to break some rules and hone in on your organisation skills, your temperament and expertise in something unusual is required, bridging many new, unique people to you. All month, Mars moves through its retrograde in Gemini and your 5th house of dating. You’re going through a deliberation process of a partner or what could be with a potential interest. There’s a reshuffle or reschedule going on that prevents you from enjoying time with this person, it could even be a vast distance or issues with young children/family commitments. On the 6th, Mercury harmonises with Pluto in Capricorn focusing on your reflective 12th house of private matters. Belief and faith will take you far - so reframe how you receive love, friendship, acceptance and truth. On the 10th, Venus joins these two planets in the spiritual 12th house, pulling back into oneself. This is a very auspicious placement for Venus and gives a sense of culture to an individual. The way you experience love and pleasure will feel more fulfilling at this time, especially if you’ve cultivated a spiritually sound platform of which to communicate. The energy of Pluto has been burdensome and the transit is finally finishing, in March 2023. December is a time to embrace your full self, that is when the path to greatness fully opens. It feels obvious from looking at your stars, that there is a battle going on inside  you between the “good wolf” and the “bad wolf” - the 11th and 12th houses respectively. Your mind may be contemplative but your heart has a desire to connect and reach out, feed the one that is lighter on your well-being.

On the 8th, a Gemini Full Moon makes a conjunction to Mars in your 5th house of fertile creativity. To be honest, this Moon is a bit of a doozy because of the double mutable vibrations penetrating deep into the psyche - as the Sun in Sagittarius opposes this lunation. You may feel extra cheeky, perhaps asking a question you know you shouldn’t. The 5th house radiates positivity and uses witty banter to deflect from the issues that may be growing inside. 5th house energy is evolutionary - it expands the conscious mind, it can manifest in picking a hobby backup or reminding yourself that if there’s romance lacking in your life, it's time to do it for your ‘self’. The square to Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces can feel hard to comprehend, as everything is continuously slipping and coming anew. Where you stand today may be vastly different to where you are tomorrow - the motto is - adjust +adapt. On the 21st, Jupiter moves back into Aries and the 3rd house where it will stay until mid next year, covering a wide range of topics. Pressures mount in instinctive Aries, calling you to action at work, in your daily life - in this 3D reality we are alive in. Jupiter is purposeful, allowing for much personal freedom that you truly desire. Sitting back to obey the status quo just won’t cut it for you in 2023, especially for those of you that are coming into some formal education or higher learning. The 3rd house comprehends information very effortlessly, with Jupiter present it is also intuitive. You are going to grasp parts of reality soon that you never could have imagined before - that is the power of this transit. On the 22nd, the Sun enters Capricorn bringing some competition and ego. A spotlight on the 12th house reminds you you’re not finished dealing with codependency issues and past trauma from an unhinged partnership. Unhealthy attachment styles can now come to a natural end, it’s all a matter of intention. On the 23rd, the New Moon arrives here too - recharging your batteries by moving away from private affairs. From the 30th, the last/first Mercury retrograde begins, influencing our security. It will take courage to set off into the unknown on New Years eve but you’ve got to push through and keep revealing what it is you know in your heart!

Dates to watch; 1st, 4th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 20th, 23rd, 30th.

Pisces: February 19 - March 20

Don’t fight what's happening, Pisces. The great tapestry of life is doing its thing, and you are both the instrument and the musician who plays. December revolves around your 10th house of career fulfillment until the 21st. You are in the directors chair yet you may still have to prove if you’re capable enough. Then again, what you want to achieve needs a level of expertise - you either have it or you don’t. Practical ‘everyday’ responsibilities loom, and the idea of fun can be pushed to the side, at least for now. You’re thinking - is the juice really worth the squeeze? In terms of professional advancement the answer is yes. Leadership qualities are magnified giving you ample opportunity to cash in. Mars is moving through its retrograde in Gemini until mid-January, pressing on your very personal and tender 4th house of family + nesting. You are being held accountable for past behaviours that have negatively impacted a relative. If you’ve been quick to anger or hasty with your words, then this retrograde will shine a light on the instability. It may appear like you’re being scrutinised or poorly treated, but really this is a good way to clean out all the emotional issues that keep resurfacing and bringing you back down to a low frequency vibration. Mercury moves with Pluto in Capricorn through your 11th house early on this month, attempting to control other people or the power balance within an intimate relationship. Pluto is about the ‘journey’, so a story is still very much unfolding between you and a partner or you and a group of people. On March 23rd, 2023 - Pluto will leave Capricorn highlighting the end to a very, very tense inner cycle for us all. In the 11th house, these two juggernauts are uprooting your social circle to make way for some new and improved faces. You will be especially quirky and unusual, adding your own knowledgeable musings to conversations. Think about what it is you wish to pursue through your networks and connections, there is a managerial quality to this time - with huge emphasis on new ventures across different states or countries. No more playing small.

The North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio have played their part in this tumultuous and chaotic year, triggering problem areas with workload, fair pay and collaborative experiences. You may have been stung more than once, really seeing a person's truth and opinion of you and what you’re worth. This area of your life is still undergoing major transformation and will continue through to June/July next year. The uncomfortability has pushed you to look outside of yourself for more options on what you can deliver - perhaps it's time to team up in 2023. Are two heads going to get you further than one? The Gemini Full Moon rises on the 8th, in your homely 4th house, influenced here by Mars and its ‘tough nut’ lessons. The demands on your personal life are now felt significantly, and you may be pulled in all directions finding it hard to strike balance within your own four walls. The combination of Mars + the Moon here brings a mixed bag, in some way you are processing what has occurred in the recent past and healing from it with the holidays closely approaching, giving people a more compassionate stance. On another hand, you’re curious as to why someone has treated you this way and therefore can appear a little combative, or as if you want to push back. Regardless, gemini is soothing here, and it wants you to bliss out and surrender. In general, this month is a lot quieter and more flexible, allowing for you to trust in the timing of your own doing. You’re inspired by the esoteric or divination when a friend makes perfect sense of a situation just by feeling you out. Jupiter is getting ready to leave your sign on the 21st, cycling back in 2034. Jupiter’s occupation in your sign these last two years has ideally developed a wiser consciousness and spiritual growth, moving back into Aries it now processes big money lessons in the 2nd house of skills, value and cash money. Your interests will be promoted in a big way and there may be a strong push toward charity over the next 6 months. Gratitude is required to wave Jupiter off, practice giving a heartfelt ‘thank-you’ to all those who have helped you this year - as well as enjoying silent prayer for the stars and cosmic cycles that have led you to this moment. You have an aching desire to prove yourself and to up the status of your wealth, not for materialistic purposes but to feel more confident and certain of your place in the world. Jupiter in Aries will give you this opportunity with extended benefits if you can behave with spending. This is an extremely resourceful time, especially as the Sun moves into Capricorn on the 22nd, acknowledging your success. A New Moon arrives in Capricorn on the 233rd, strengthening your position within a group or community. This lunation in the 11th house is like an annual ‘wish Moon’ where you can write down dreams and goals, and send them out into the universe. Emphasis on the social aspect of life is very apparent, with Christmas holidays in full swing. Regardless if you choose to celebrate or not, there is a desire to get out and be amongst it! Capricorn is staunch however, teaching harsh lessons in humanity. So, it will be wise to remember that unconditional love is not equal to unconditional tolerance, draw the line for someone especially if they keep abusing your generosity and patience. Mercury begins its final (and first) retrograde on the 30th, starting 2023 off in a much more lackluster way than you’re used to. Again, activating this 11th house it will be a sticky time for communication, especially if you come into contact with someone from the past you still have bad blood with. This cycle can act prematurely if you’re not careful - make sure you check yourself, your body language and your text thread. Everything is a little more skewed than before and you don’t want to be sending the wrong message to the wrong person. What plays out in your inner dialogue is just as important as what other people say, be kind and diplomatic. Magic is everywhere as we head into the new year, appreciate all the good you already possess.

Dates to watch; 1st, 7th, 8th, 10th, 20th, 21st, 23rd, 29th.

NOVEMBER MONTHLY HOROSCOPES
